Duties
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, including surgical and diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly.
- Perform blood sampling, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic tests with precision and care.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation accurately to ensure seamless data flow and compliance.
- Support health education initiatives by providing patients with information on treatment plans, medication instructions, and wellness tips.
- Conduct manual handling tasks such as positioning patients for imaging or surgical procedures safely and effectively.
- Report patient conditions promptly to healthcare providers, ensuring timely interventions and optimal care outcomes.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program or institution.
- Proven experience in critical care or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, nursing practices, and medical documentation standards.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Hands-on experience with blood sampling techniques and patient service skills.
- Familiarity with plastic surgery, surgery procedures, diagnostic radiology, and clinic operations is a plus.
- Excellent client communication skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as patient transfer and equipment handling safely and confidently.
