Meet Chelsea, a board certified and licensed psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a passion for providing access to quality mental health services in the community she calls home. Chelsea graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. During her college years she worked as a student nursing assistant at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. It was there that she was developed her passion for providing mental health care and made becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner her career goal. After graduation she spent the next eight years working in the emergency department at Genesis Medical Center Davenport as registered nurse. During that time, she attended Clarkson College to earn her Master of Science in Nursing – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree. She graduated in April 2023 and proceeded to work on an inpatient psychiatric unit. She is particularly passionate about outpatient mental health care and the positive impact it can make in improving the quality of people’s lives. Chelsea is always striving to further develop her knowledge and skills with continuing education so that she can provide the best possible care for her patients. When she’s not working, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family, going on weekend getaways, and attempting to cook!
